In our practicum class this afternoon, we had a sort of an open forum. Here, our college dean, also our adviser for that subject, invited two ministers of the gospel. One is a medical doctor, and one is a psychologist. This conference was organized for us, graduating students, to be able to ask questions that we are very reluctant to share. Here, we students wrote down our inquiries on a piece of paper, and then gave them to our dean to read them aloud and for our guests to answer them. One question was asked by a Marketing student regarding when the right time for a couple to have safe sex was and if the 7-days-before-and-after-the-girl's-menstruation-period-safesex was true. This question was answered first by the psychologist whose answer riveted in my mind. His answer goes:
"The safest time to have sex is when you already already have in your finger a wedding ring and you're doing it with a better half."
Yeah. he is so right about that.
The second answer that really captivated me was when he answered the question about true love. His answer goes:
"There are three components of true love. One is passion wherein there is fondness in your reletionship. This is where a person becomes sweet, always longing to make his loved one put a smile on her face. Another one is intimacy. This where you pull out all the affection and closeness for the one you love. Last one is commitment. This is where you make promises to each other that matter what comes forth, the two of you will remain together as one. Remember that it is isn't true love when one of these three are missing."
I learned a lot that afternoon. But these two are ones i'll surely keep in my mind.
